  • Marble Mining Process Topic :

The marble extraction process is a challenging mining activity that requires both technological knowledge and high precision. Every operation performed in the quarries is carried out without damaging the natural structure of the stone in order to preserve the quality of Marmara marble. Therefore, the planning stage is the most critical step of the production process.

First, geological survey of the quarry area is conducted and the direction of veins is determined. Then, large marble blocks are separated from the quarry using wire cutting machines, hydraulic drilling systems and controlled blasting methods. These blocks are carefully selected in terms of both size and surface integrity and sent to factories for processing. Thanks to modern technologies, waste rate is minimized and sustainable use of natural resources is ensured.

"Marble extraction is the art of preserving a masterpiece created by nature over millions of years and passing it on to future generations without damage."

The blocks extracted from the quarry are brought to the desired dimensions with cutting machines and surface roughness is removed with water-cooled saws. Then, the durability of the blocks is tested and they are prepared for shipment. At these stages, expert engineers and experienced workers work together to guarantee both safety and quality.

In conclusion, marble extraction is not just a mining activity; it is also an indicator of the importance given to nature, quality and engineering discipline. Marmara marble becomes an indispensable material for prestigious projects worldwide by going through these meticulous processes.
